After my part-time studies under Prof. Thomas Egelkamp (Alanus), I deepened my exploration of the relationship between nature and science. Participation in numerous scientific expeditions led to the development of the project “The Fly.”

The project “The Fly” was realized at the Joanneum Museum Graz and supported by Hans Roth and the City of Graz.

The resulting work “Exogen” was presented at the Museum Zons. Building on “Exogen,” I am currently working on a new project titled “T.W.O.L”.

Interplay of light, structure, and corporeal presence.

​

In my artistic practice, I primarily work with oil painting and paper collage. The paper

collage allows me to create sketches and drafts that help refine my compositions. Oil

painting, on the other hand, enables me to develop fluid textures and shape the depth of

my works.

The structure of my pieces is carefully considered, providing a solid foundation on

which the various elements can unfold. Particularly noteworthy is the shimmer I create

through deliberate structuring and the use of light. This gives the works a vivid quality

that captivates the viewer and gently draws them in. These plays of light generate

dynamism and depth, creating a corporeal presence. They invite the observer to view the

works from different perspectives and to discover the subtle changes that reveal

themselves with each new glance.

My work emerges like a whirlwind, in which everything is drawn in as if into a black

hole. Yet from this process of absorption, something new arises—a new kind of matter.

This matter is not predetermined; whether it is perceived as negative or positive lies

entirely in the viewer’s perception.

Within this interplay between the artwork and the audience, the complexity of human

perception is reflected. Each viewer brings their own experiences and emotions, which

influence how the work is interpreted and understood. Thus, the artwork becomes a

dynamic space where meanings emerge and continuously transform.
